Welding Equipment
Welding Equipment is a section of the IMPA marine stores catalogue (section 85), arranged in 40 groups.
About this section
Welding equipment supplies the ship’s repair welding: covered electrodes by type and diameter, MIG and TIG wire, brazing rods and fluxes, cutting and welding torches and their nozzles, regulators and flashback arrestors, hoses, chipping hammers, and welders’ gloves, masks and lenses. The chief engineer raises it, often with a steel-repair job in view.
Electrodes quote by the kilogram or the packet; give the classification (AWS or ISO) and diameter with the code.
