About this section
Electrical equipment is the electrician’s store: incandescent, fluorescent and LED lamps by cap and wattage, marine cable by core and section, switches, sockets and plugs, fuses and breakers, dry and rechargeable batteries, cable glands, terminals and tape, torches and explosion-proof fittings, and portable meters. The electrical officer or chief engineer raises it.
Lamps and fittings need the ship’s voltage; cable needs the length and the core section. Both belong on the requirement with the code.
