Ship waste collection, contracted direct — not through the agent’s rolodex

Waste landings are posted at your ports as structured requirements. You bid sealed against the job, not against a favour owed.

The situation

Garbage contracts hide inside agency appointments: the agent picks the contractor, the operator never sees the price, and a contractor without agent relationships never sees the job. The work is regulated, documented, MARPOL-shaped — and awarded like a favour.

On GeoMarineHub the waste landing is its own requirement: category, volumes, port, date. Every activated contractor at the port sees it; the operator awards on sealed bids and holds the documentation trail.

How it works for you

01

Verify and activate your ports

Free registration; human-reviewed verification; port-by-port activation so only your ports’ landings reach you.

02

Bid sealed on the landing

Categories and volumes are structured on the requirement. Your price is sealed from rivals.

03

Collect and document

Award, collection, signed delivery record — the documentation both sides keep, which in waste is the whole point.

What you pay — and don’t

Free entry tier; plans on the pricing page

—Registration, verification and the entry tier cost nothing.

—Plan tiers and commission are published live on the pricing page.

—Most ports have no activated waste contractor yet — the first one in owns the port’s landings.

Questions suppliers ask

How do ship waste removal contracts reach a contractor here?
Vessels post MARPOL garbage and waste collection requirements by port — category, estimated volume, date. Every contractor activated at that port receives the same posting and bids sealed; the award is a documented contract, not a favour to whoever answered the phone.
Does the platform handle MARPOL documentation?
The order carries the paper both sides need: what was collected, when, and the signed record kept identically by vessel and contractor — the trail a port state inspection expects to see.
How do RFQs reach me?
You are matched on two facts you set: the ports you activate and the categories you cover. When a vessel posts a requirement at one of your ports in one of your categories it lands in your portal queue and you are notified, with the vessel type, ETA, payment terms and the full line list. Port-call bidding closes at the vessel’s ETA — the deadline is on the request.
What does supplier verification ask for?
Three documents, uploaded in the portal and reviewed by a person: your trade licence, an ID for the company’s signatory and a proof of address. You can set up your company, categories and ports before approval; bidding opens once the company is verified, so every supplier a buyer meets is a vetted business.
What does it cost a supplier to join GeoMarineHub?
Registration and verification are free, and the Free tier gives the service you register with one activated port. Paid plans are bought per service for a fixed prepaid term; they add ports and lower the commission rate. Commission is charged only on completed orders — bidding and losing cost nothing. Every current figure is on the pricing page, read live from the platform.
Do I need a password?
No. Sign-in is by e-mail only: enter your work e-mail and a six-digit code is sent to it. The same account works on the web and in the free GeoMarineHub app for iPhone and Android.
