Sharjah Ports Authority runs three integrated deep-water ports on both UAE coasts: Port Khalid and Hamriyah Port on the Arabian Gulf, and Khorfakkan on the Gulf of Oman.^[1]

—Sharjah Container Terminal inside Port Khalid — established 1976 as the UAE’s first container terminal — is operated by Gulftainer: four berths, 740 m of quay at 12.5 m, 690,000 TEU capacity, 24-hour working; Gulftainer’s concessions run to 2058.^[2,3]

—Hamriyah is the industrial and energy base: a 14 m deep-water port and 7 m inner harbour inside the Hamriyah Free Zone, whose licensed activities span rig and shipbuilding, ship repair, offshore fabrication and ship chandlery; its oil & gas zone hosts 900+ storage tanks and calls itself the UAE’s second-largest petrochemical hub.^[4,5]

—Pilotage, cargo operations and vessel movement control are provided by the Sharjah Ports Authority; bunkering, fresh water and marine services are offered across its network.^[1]
