Ship chandler leads: the marketplace where the requirement comes to you
Vessel operators post structured requisitions at your ports. You bid sealed — priced per canonical unit, judged on the number, never on who blinked first.
The situation
Chandlery lives and dies on the call that never comes: the operator who already has “their guy” at the port, the agent who routes supply to a cousin, the enquiry that goes to five WhatsApp numbers and dies in the noise. Winning new vessels usually means undercutting blind against prices you never see, for buyers you can’t verify.
GeoMarineHub inverts it. Buyers post the requisition — line items, quantities, units, payment terms, ETA — at a port. Every chandler activated at that port gets the same structured requirement at the same moment, and bids sealed. The buyer compares like for like; your price is never shopped around the market.
How it works for you
01
Register and verify
Free registration with your work email. Verification (trade licence + supporting documents, reviewed by a human) is what lets requirements route to you.
02
Activate the ports you actually serve
Coverage is port-by-port and yours to choose. Requests route only to suppliers activated at the port — you never see noise from ports you don’t work.
03
Bid sealed on structured requisitions
Line items arrive priced per canonical unit with the buyer’s payment terms visible before you price. Rivals never see your number, or how many are bidding.
04
Deliver with proof
Award → order → delivery note the buyer signs digitally. The paper trail is the dispute defence — both sides hold identical records.

Questions suppliers ask
- How do I get ship supply requests without an existing relationship?
- Requirements route by port, not by relationship: activate the ports you serve and every requisition posted there reaches you — the buyer compares sealed bids on the numbers.
- Do rival chandlers see my bid?
- No. Bidding is sealed — rivals never see your price or how many suppliers are bidding, and buyers never see your identity until award.
- How do RFQs reach me?
- You are matched on two facts you set: the ports you activate and the categories you cover. When a vessel posts a requirement at one of your ports in one of your categories it lands in your portal queue and you are notified, with the vessel type, ETA, payment terms and the full line list. Port-call bidding closes at the vessel’s ETA — the deadline is on the request.
- What does supplier verification ask for?
- Three documents, uploaded in the portal and reviewed by a person: your trade licence, an ID for the company’s signatory and a proof of address. You can set up your company, categories and ports before approval; bidding opens once the company is verified, so every supplier a buyer meets is a vetted business.
- What does it cost a supplier to join GeoMarineHub?
- Registration and verification are free, and the Free tier gives the service you register with one activated port. Paid plans are bought per service for a fixed prepaid term; they add ports and lower the commission rate. Commission is charged only on completed orders — bidding and losing cost nothing. Every current figure is on the pricing page, read live from the platform.
- Do I need a password?
- No. Sign-in is by e-mail only: enter your work e-mail and a six-digit code is sent to it. The same account works on the web and in the free GeoMarineHub app for iPhone and Android.
