Sea freight leads that arrive as requests, not lists

Marine freight requirements — lanes, cargo, mode — posted by verified shippers and operators, answered with sealed bids. No lead lists, no rate-shopping.

Plate — the lead is the cargo itself.

The situation

Forwarders buy leads that everyone else bought too, then race to the bottom on lanes the shipper never intended to move. The freight itself — real cargo, real dates — sits in someone’s inbox.

Here the shipper posts the movement once: cargo, origin, destination, mode, dates. Forwarders answer sealed; the shipper compares complete offers. Freight has no port-activation gate — requests route by capability, and they stay open until awarded or cancelled.

An empty port is an asset here: the first supplier to activate a port gets its requests uncontested.

Questions suppliers ask

How do I get sea freight enquiries that are real cargo, not tyre-kickers?
Every enquiry here is a posted shipment — cargo, lane, mode and dates stated by a verified company. There is no lead-selling and no pay-per-contact: the cargo itself is the lead, and you bid a complete offer under seal.
Is my rate shopped around to other forwarders?
No. Bids are sealed: the shipper compares complete, like-for-like offers and rival forwarders never see your rate — before or after the award.
How do freight requests reach me?
Freight is not port-bound: every verified forwarder on the platform sees a posted shipment — cargo, lane, mode and dates — and it stays open until the shipper awards or cancels it. There is no ETA cutoff on freight.
What does supplier verification ask for?
Three documents, uploaded in the portal and reviewed by a person: your trade licence, an ID for the company’s signatory and a proof of address. You can set up your company, categories and ports before approval; bidding opens once the company is verified, so every supplier a buyer meets is a vetted business.
What does it cost a supplier to join GeoMarineHub?
Registration and verification are free, and the Free tier gives the service you register with one activated port. Paid plans are bought per service for a fixed prepaid term; they add ports and lower the commission rate. Commission is charged only on completed orders — bidding and losing cost nothing. Every current figure is on the pricing page, read live from the platform.
Do I need a password?
No. Sign-in is by e-mail only: enter your work e-mail and a six-digit code is sent to it. The same account works on the web and in the free GeoMarineHub app for iPhone and Android.
