POUCH FILM FOR LAMINATOR, A-4 (216X303MM) 100'S/PKT 470297
A4 laminator pouch film, 216 × 303 mm, packet of 100: matching the laminator, how pouch thickness is quoted in microns, gloss or matt, and what to state.
What it is
IMPA 470297 is a packet of 100 laminating pouches for A4 documents, 216 × 303 mm. The document goes inside the pouch and a pouch laminator seals it with heat.
On board, lamination keeps notices, checklists, muster and emergency instructions, drawings and placards readable in wet or oily places. The officer who keeps the ship’s office stores raises them, often with the laminator itself.
How to specify and order it
The code fixes the size and the count: A4, 216 × 303 mm, 100 pouches. Order by packets and check the unit before sending the requisition.
The code does not fix the film thickness, so state it. Pouch thickness is quoted in microns and runs from about 80 to 250 microns. The higher the number, the thicker and stiffer the result.[1]
Match the pouch to the laminator on board. Some machines have limits on pouch size and thickness, so check the machine’s specification. Give the laminator’s make and model, or its maximum pouch thickness, with the order.[1]
State gloss or matt finish if it matters. Gloss gives a shiny, high-impact look. Matt has a non-glare surface that is easier to read and can be written on.[1]
Questions buyers ask
- Which pouch thickness should I order?
- Pouches run from about 80 to 250 microns, and thicker pouches give a stiffer result. Order a thickness your laminator can take: check its specification for the maximum pouch size and thickness.
- Gloss or matt pouches?
- Gloss looks shiny and vivid. Matt cuts glare, is easier to read and can be written on.
