IMPA section 77
Bearings is a section of the IMPA marine stores catalogue (section 77), arranged in 10 groups.
About this section
Bearings are the rotating spares held for pumps, motors, fans and deck machinery: deep-groove ball bearings, cylindrical and tapered roller bearings, thrust and needle bearings, self-aligning types, pillow-block housings, and the oil seals that go with them. The chief engineer raises them against the machinery’s spare-parts list.
A bearing is defined by its series number (6205, 22210 and so on) and its seal or shield suffix; the IMPA description carries the series, and the requirement should add the suffix and any maker preference.
