Valves and cocks covers the ship’s valve renewals: globe, gate, angle and check valves, ball and butterfly valves, drain cocks and gauge cocks, strainers and sight glasses, in bronze, cast iron, cast steel and stainless, to JIS F, DIN and ANSI standards and their pressure classes (5K, 10K, 16K, PN16). The chief engineer raises them from the survey list or after a failure.

The standard, size, class and material are the whole specification, and the IMPA code carries them; add the end connection (flanged, screwed) on the requirement where the description leaves it open.
