Metal sheets and bars is raw material for repair on board: mild-steel plate and flat bar, angle and channel, round bar, stainless-steel plate and bar, aluminium and brass stock, copper sheet, expanded metal and wire mesh, and welding-ready sections. The chief engineer raises it for machinery repair, the chief officer for deck and hatch work.

It is quoted per kilogram, per sheet or per length. Thickness, width and length must be on the requirement; the code gives the material and form.
