Nautical Equipment

Nautical equipment is what the bridge needs beyond its fitted electronics: binoculars, signal flags and ensigns, daylight signalling lamps, ship’s clocks and barometers, hand lead and sounding equipment, chart-table instruments, logbooks and record books, and the day shapes and lights the rules require. The master or second officer raises it, often before a flag-state or PSC inspection.

Flag sizes and materials, and the edition of any record book, belong on the requirement; the rest quotes by the code.
