About this section
Safety protective gear is the PPE every crew member wears: safety helmets, work and chemical-resistant gloves, goggles and face shields, hearing protection, dust masks and respirators with their cartridges, fall-arrest harnesses and lanyards, and welding protection. It is raised by the chief officer or safety officer, and much of it is a company or flag requirement rather than a preference.
Quote by the pair, piece or box, with sizes for gloves and harnesses. Where a standard is required (EN, ANSI), say so on the requirement.
