What freight forwarding covers here
Port-to-port and door-to-door movements in the modes a forwarder actually quotes: ocean (FCL and LCL), air, land, and multimodal combinations. The shipment is posted once as a structured requirement — origin, destination, mode, cargo summary, ready date, Incoterms if agreed, and the commercial terms — and priced as a total route, not a shopping list of surcharges.
Process
From requirement to delivery

The shipper posts the shipment with commercial terms stated up front — payment terms always, Incoterms where agreed, special handling in the cargo notes.
- 02
Freight is the one line without a port filter: every registered forwarder sees the shipment and may bid the route. Bids are sealed — no forwarder sees another’s number.
- 03
The shipper compares total route prices side by side, line by line, and awards. Identities open on award and a private channel opens between the parties.
- 04
The shipment runs a tracked lifecycle to delivery, closed out with documentary proof of delivery — the same order engine that runs ship supply today.
Inputs & outputs
What the shipper provides, and what comes back
In: origin and destination (city, port or airport), mode, cargo-ready date, payment terms, Incoterms if agreed, a cargo summary — weight, volume, HS codes, handling notes — and the shipment lines forwarders price. Back: sealed, comparable route totals with per-line notes; on award, a confirmed engagement with an open channel to the forwarder; through delivery, actor-stamped milestone updates; at the end, proof of delivery held in the order history.
Qualification
How forwarders are qualified

Company verification before the first bid reaches any shipper: trade licence, ownership, bank details — the same KYC gate every supplier on the platform passes.

A platform track record that accumulates shipment by shipment — ratings tied to completed, documented deliveries, not testimonials.

What the platform records
The award, every lifecycle transition, and the proof of delivery live in an immutable, actor-stamped order history both sides can rely on. Transport documents per mode — bill of lading, air waybill, CMR — move between the parties as usual; the private order channel keeps that conversation in one place.

Quotes are sealed totals priced against stated terms — the industry’s bane is the surcharge discovered after booking, and a committed total priced against declared terms removes it. Commission is charged to the forwarder only on completed business, which mirrors how brokerage compensation already works in the trade; bidding and losing cost nothing.
