Refund, Return & Cancellation Policy

How refunds, returns and cancellations are handled for subscriptions, platform fees and brokered orders on Geomarine.

Geomarine Intelligence Solutions FZCO ("Geomarine") operates a maritime procurement marketplace. The amounts processed through our online payment gateway are Geomarine's own platform charges — supplier subscriptions, commission/platform-fee invoices, advertising packages, and (for brokered orders) the all-inclusive order amount. This policy explains when these amounts can be refunded, returned or cancelled.

1. Subscriptions

Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Your plan stays active until the end of the current billing period; it will not renew afterwards.

Refunds

Subscription fees already paid for the current period are non-refundable, except where required by applicable law. We do not charge for unused time after cancellation because access continues until period end.

Free trial

Where a free trial or free tier is offered, no charge is made until you choose a paid plan, so no refund is required.

2. Commission & Platform-Fee Invoices

Commission and platform-fee invoices relate to transactions introduced or facilitated through the platform.

  • If an invoice is paid in error or duplicated, the duplicate/erroneous amount is refunded in full to the original payment method.
  • If a completed transaction is reversed by mutual agreement of the parties, the related commission may be refunded in part or in full at Geomarine's reasonable discretion.
  • Refunds are issued to the original card/account used for payment.

3. Brokered Orders (Goods & Services)

Before acceptance

An order or quotation can be cancelled at no charge any time before you accept a supplier quote.

After acceptance

Once a quote is accepted, cancellation and returns follow the terms of that order. If goods have not yet been sourced or dispatched, the amount is refundable less any costs already incurred. If goods have been delivered, returns are subject to the supplier's and port's conditions for the relevant goods.

Wrong, damaged or short delivery

If items delivered are incorrect, damaged or short against the confirmed order, raise a dispute from your order page within 7 days; once verified, the affected amount is refunded or re-supplied.

Force majeure

Port closures, sanctions, weather or other exceptional maritime circumstances are handled case by case.

4. How to Request a Refund & Processing Time

  • Email [email protected] from your registered address with the invoice/order reference and the reason.
  • Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method.
  • Once approved, card refunds are typically initiated within 5–10 business days; the time for funds to appear depends on your bank/card issuer.
  • Refunds are made in the original transaction currency; any currency-conversion differences are determined by your card issuer.
