⚓ Voyage Supply
The big picture: Once your charter is fixed, Geomarine can line up the supply network for the voyage — ship supplies, bunker fuel, fresh water, garbage/MARPOL collection and port agency at the load, transit and discharge ports, from verified local suppliers.
SECTION 2
The Model — Commission Only
How Geomarine earns: a small brokerage commission, only on a completed fixture
Vessel chartering on Geomarine is a pure brokerage. There is no subscription and no upfront cost for charterers. We are paid a commission only when a charter is successfully fixed — aligning our interest with yours: we only succeed when you do.

Question
Answer
Is there a subscription?
No. Registering and posting charter requests is completely free.
What does Geomarine charge?
1.25% from the owner + 1.25% from the charterer = 2.5% total.
When is it charged?
Only on a completed fixture (a charter that is actually fixed).
What if nothing is fixed?
You pay nothing. No fixture, no commission.
Any hidden fees?
None. The 2.5% on a fixed charter is the only chartering charge.
Bottom line: Post for free, compare offers for free, negotiate for free. Geomarine’s 1.25% charterer commission applies only when you fix a charter through the platform.
⚠️ Note on figures: The 2.5% brokerage (1.25% + 1.25%) is the only money figure on chartering. Vessel hire rates are agreed between you and the owner — Geomarine does not set or fix hire prices.

After you post: Your request reaches relevant verified vessel owners. You’ll be notified as offers arrive — and your and the owners’ identities stay private until you accept an offer.
SECTION 6
Receiving & Comparing Offers
Verified vessel owners bid for your cargo — compare side by side
Vessel owners whose tonnage matches your request submit offers. Each offer shows the vessel particulars, proposed hire/freight, laycan fit and terms. The owner’s company name, the vessel name and your identity remain hidden at this stage — you compare on the merits.
Compare on more than price: Look at vessel age and DWT, laycan fit, laytime & demurrage, hold condition, and the owner’s rating. The lowest rate is not always the best fixture for your cargo.
SECTION 7
Negotiation & Counter-Offers
Bargain freely until the terms are right — before anyone is committed
Found a promising offer but want better terms? Send a counter-offer. The owner can accept, decline, or counter back. This back-and-forth happens entirely on the platform, with identities still private, until both sides agree and you accept.
Can match laycan. Requesting $27.25/MT and 84 hrs laytime. Demurrage at $13,000/day acceptable. Ready to fix on agreement.

Tip: Counter on the terms that matter most to your cargo — not only the rate, but laytime, demurrage and laycan. A slightly higher rate with longer laytime can save more in practice.
SECTION 8
Accepting an Offer & the Fixture
When you accept, the charter is fixed — and identities are revealed
Identity Privacy — How It Works
To protect both sides before commitment, Geomarine keeps key identities hidden until an offer is accepted:
The vessel name is hidden from you until you accept.
The owner’s identity / company is hidden from you until you accept.
Your charterer identity is hidden from owners until you accept.
This prevents either side from going around the platform and protects your commercial position while you compare and negotiate. The moment you accept, the fixture is formed and both parties’ details are exchanged so the voyage can proceed.
⚠️ Before acceptance: You see vessel particulars (type, DWT, year, condition) and terms — but not names. After acceptance: vessel, owner and charterer identities are revealed to both sides.
You’re fixed! Now that the charter is fixed, Geomarine’s commission of 1.25% (your side) + 1.25% (owner’s side) = 2.5% applies. From here you can line up the supply network for the voyage — see the next section.
SECTION 9
The Supply Network Behind the Voyage
At the load, transit and discharge ports — everything the vessel needs
A fixed charter is only the start. The same Geomarine network that connects you to owners also connects you to verified local suppliers at the ports of call. Arrange what the voyage needs — from a single screen — across 300+ ports worldwide, with a strong Gulf focus.
One network, end to end: Charter the vessel and supply the voyage from the same account — with verified local suppliers at each port. Gulf-focused, 300+ ports worldwide.
SECTION 10
Chat & Messaging
Communicate clearly — before and after the fixture
Messaging keeps every conversation in one place. During offers and negotiation, messages flow through the platform with identities masked. After acceptance, you and the owner can coordinate the voyage directly — and you can chat with suppliers about voyage supply.

Profile, Languages & Support
Keep your account current, switch languages, and reach us anytime
Geomarine is available in 13 languages, with English and Arabic fully supported (including full right-to-left layout for Arabic). Switch your language anytime from your profile.
⚠️ Service Coverage: The platform does not serve North Korea, Syria, Iran, Cuba, or Crimea/Sevastopol.
Yes. Creating a charterer account and posting charter requests is completely free. There is no subscription and no upfront cost.
How does Geomarine make money, then?
Geomarine earns a brokerage commission only when a charter is successfully fixed: 1.25% from the owner + 1.25% from the charterer = 2.5% total. If nothing is fixed, you pay nothing.
Do you set the vessel hire / freight rate?
No. The rate is agreed between you and the owner through offers and negotiation. The only money figure Geomarine adds is the 2.5% brokerage on a fixed charter.
Will the owner see who I am before I commit?
No. Your identity, the vessel name and the owner’s identity are all hidden until an offer is accepted. This protects both sides during comparison and negotiation.
What types of vessels can I charter?
Dry bulk carriers, tankers and project-cargo vessels — across a range of sizes. Specify the vessel type and DWT in your charter request and matching owners will respond.
What is a laycan?
The laycan (laydays / cancelling) is the agreed window during which the vessel must arrive and be ready to load. You set it when posting your request; owners offer against it.
Can I negotiate after receiving an offer?
Yes. Send counter-offers on rate, laytime, demurrage and other terms. The owner can accept, decline or counter back — all on the platform — until you’re ready to accept and fix.
What happens after I fix a charter?
Identities are revealed to both sides so the voyage can proceed, and you can arrange the supply network — ship supplies & provisions, bunker, fresh water, garbage/MARPOL collection and port agency — at the ports of call.
Where do you operate?
300+ ports worldwide, with a strong Gulf focus. The platform does not serve North Korea, Syria, Iran, Cuba, or Crimea/Sevastopol.
Is there a mobile app?
Yes. Everything — posting requests, reviewing offers, negotiating, chat, rewards and profile — works on both web and the mobile app.
What languages are supported?
13 languages, with English and Arabic fully supported (including RTL for Arabic). Switch anytime in your profile.
I just have a one-off enquiry — do I need an account?
You can use the public charter-quote intake at geomarinehub.com/charter/quote without registering. For the full dashboard, offers and negotiation tools, create a free account.
